A Meditation to Find Your Wisdom
When it comes to taking action, we can confuse ourselves. Our gut tells us one thing, our mind tells us another...it's a common dilemma. Our intuition tells us we need to let go of something, but our mind reminds us of all the reasons not to, out of fear, self-preservation, survival. But when we can get our intuition and our minds in alignment, that's called Wisdom. I use a creative visualization meditation to help me when I am in this dilemma.
First, get comfortable, grounded, and sink into your energetic and physical body as best you can. Take a few deep breaths and open your heart and your mind. Visualize an energetic light cord that connects the two.
Now, imagine taking a walk into the forest or along a beach or in your favorite place. You come upon a table and your Guide, or your Higher Self is waiting for you. If you don’t know one allow one to show up, or use mine, she is an old gypsy woman. She won’t mind. As you sit at the table you tell her of your dilemma. Maybe you don’t know whether to leave a relationship or a job. Maybe you’ve met someone new and you aren’t sure if they are right for you. Or maybe you are searching for the next best thing or the thing that is missing in your life. Whatever it is, tell her. Tell her all about it.
Then ask her, what is it that my mind is trying to tell me? See her write down an answer.
What it is my intuition is trying to tell me? See her write down an answer.
What does my wisdom know? See her write down an answer.
For each question she will write down the answer on a piece of paper and slide it over for you to read. Take your time.
Finish by asking her, given the wisdom answer, what should you do next?
Remember that Wisdom is aligning your Intuition with your Mind, creating a practical solution to your dilemma. It feels right and makes sense. That’s Wisdom. WB
